About

Do you identify as a highly sensitive person? If you are struggling with trauma-related symptoms, anxiety, stress, low motivation, difficulty completing tasks, or feelings of overwhelm then I’m glad you are here!

I know what it’s like to be labeled a “sensitive” person at an early age and what it feels like to experience and struggle with daily anxiety, overwhelm, and trauma. I didn’t view my sensitivity and my emotions as a strength but as a weakness in a world that communicated that production over process is a priority. As I embarked on my healing journey, I started to realize what an ally my emotions were both in communicating with me and providing me with valuable information about situations and the world around me. Instead of villainizing my sensitivity, I began to embrace and find eminence strength in my abilities and how to attune to my emotions.

I didn’t understand until later in my life that it wasn’t something I was doing but something that I was experiencing. I often blamed myself or felt that I was broken or needed to be “fixed.”

I began to embrace that I am a highly sensitive person (HSP) and that this is such a wonderful part of myself which assisted in my ability to process past trauma, work with my anxiety, and notice times of overwhelm to attend to my needs in real time!

I also started to understand the importance of self-compassion for my healing process and through that journey became passionate about guiding people towards self-compassion in their healing process as well.

As a highly sensitive therapist, I’m able to attune to my client’s emotions and be present with compassion and empathy for your experience. This cultivates a space of safety and understanding which allows us to work with whatever comes up and identify the roots of your current symptoms. With this attunement and empathy, the illumination needed to walk the path and journey is cultivated to unearth your self-discovery and the healing power within you!

After some exploration on my own with art therapy and processing my internal experience and trauma through the use of art I decided to pursue my master's in Transpersonal Counseling in Art Therapy at Naropa University.  I am now a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado.

I’ve had the opportunity and privilege to work with many people in addressing things including childhood trauma, stress & anxiety, ADHD, self-criticism, self-doubt, high sensitivity, low motivation, and overwhelm.

My approach is multi-modal and focused on techniques that foster an increase in awareness, self-compassion, and connection to your body. With trauma-focused therapy, an important component is to understand your nervous system how it functions, and what impacts your nervous system daily. I use a combination of EMDR, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and Art Therapy to create a plan that is specifically cultivated for your needs.

Now, I want to share what I've learned with you. Together, we can navigate the challenges that come with being a highly sensitive person and transform them into opportunities for growth and empowerment. We can work through trauma-related symptoms, combat anxiety and stress, increase motivation, and find strategies for completing tasks without feeling overwhelmed. It's time to embrace our sensitivity and reclaim our power. I welcome you to this empowering journey of healing and self-discovery!
